A possible influence of the revision of the Posted Workers Directive on the everyday functioning of the transport sector in the European Union. The draft of the reviewed Posted Workers Directive currently on the agenda in Brussels stipulates the application of uniform employees’ remuneration and work principles on the territory of a given Member State. It means that both domestic and foreign employees will be entitled to the same remuneration for the same work, together with the same additional entitlements arising from the labour law and from collective agreements, in force in a given EU Member State. Such principles will create great difficulties for employers in the international transport sector.
